Nibloe honoured at High Leigh
Norman Nibloe, for so long the driving force behind the Christian Booksellers Convention (CBC), received the first ever CRT Lifetime Achievement Award at the Christian Resources Together Awards evening (4th May). The award, which recognises outstanding service to the trade, was previously known as the Angus Hudson Award when part of the CBC Awards event, now superseded by the CRT Awards.
Nibloe told Christian Marketplace that the award didn’t mean it was all over for him in the trade. “While I’ve got my health I’ve still got my desire and passion for the trade,” he said. “I’m sure there’s still more for me at 67.”
Commenting on the CRT event Nibloe said he was very excited by what he had experienced. “There’s a real spiritual atmosphere present and the people who have come here are so fired up and visionary about the future, it’s great.” He continued, “I think it’s so important to provide an opportunity such as this for people to meet, discuss, to pray together and to re-focus spiritually. I think that’s a very positive thing.”
