This is the first time I have come across a book by Ron Rhodes, but what a brilliant introduction! He has done a very thorough investigation into the state of the world today, especially the Middle East. He looks at the rise of Islam, the possibilities of nuclear attack, the oil situation, the question of who Israel belongs to and the threat of war on the Holy Land. The second part of the book deals with the end times prophecy as recorded by Ezekiel about 2700 years ago (Ezekiel 38,39) where Rhodes considers the various ideas put forward as to the timing of the rapture. This excellent book is written for the Christian market and I highly recommend it, but should it fall into the hands of an unbeliever (which I hope it will) there is an appendix entitled “If you are not a Christian” clearly explaining the way of salvation. I shall certainly be buying several copies to give to friends.
